BarberRino's was opened on April 29th, 2014 at 535 Woolwich Street, Guelph.
I'm the Owner / Barber, Rino Basciano. I'm a second generation barber. The original shop was Sandy's Barber Shop & Men's Hairstyling. This was established in 1963 by my father - Alessandro, or Sandy for short. Sandy's Barber Shop began in Guelph, on the corner of Edinburgh & Speedvale beside the old Kimberly Variety Store before moving to The Twin Towers Apartments in 1970 where it stayed for almost 45 years. The traditions and standards that my father held all those years are the foundation that BarberRino's is built on.
I left my original career in the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager world after 16 years and went back to school in 2010 to retrain and take over my father's business.
My father has always offered traditional, high quality barbering services at affordable prices. My intention is no different.
BarberRino's Services include :
* straight razor / hot towel shaves
* Zero fades & modern styling
* beard trimming and grooming
* Men, Seniors, Student & Child rates available
* House-calls available by request
* and much, much more
It is these traditional services that separates BarberRino's from the rest of the competition. The competition may use words like "Master Barber" but in actuality this is a self implied moniker.
I have added two Barbers to serve you better - Adam Mazziotti (joined me Feb 2022) and Herman Matsiash (joined me September 2023).
We at BarberRino's have been formally trained but government accredited institutions and we apprenticed under the TRUE MASTERS of the Barbering industry in Guelph.

On Saturday Nov 19th, 2022 my father passed away peacefully with his family by his side. His traditional services & high standards will continue to be the foundation for BarberRino's. He will be missed but not forgotten.

The 3rd chapter in the BarberRino's story began. We have changed locations but not our high standards for barbering excellence.
Our new location is at 220 Edinburgh Road South (beside Guelph Glass).
